Yang Xiao SOR App 3.0

<sub>He and and his younger brother Tobio Xiao grew up together under their parent's wings.  The two often played Royals together, pretending that they were in the line of duty, Tobio serving as the Jack of Spades he was appointed to be and Yang acting as an adviser like their parents, a messenger or the King.  When they weren't playing Royals, Yang would bring Tobio to the river to fish and show off and more often than not, would fall in, the younger having to run home to get their father to fish him out of the rapids.  As he seemed to lack an interest in any roles offered by the kingdom, nobody knew where he would go once he got older.  His short attention span and hyperactivity was undesired for Royal positions so he was expected to be a merchant at best.  Heeding none of their concerns, Yang spent a lot of time training alongside Tobio once exercises for the Jack of Spades began.  They competed against each other in play fights, but Yang could never beat Tobio, who was considered smarter and stronger by all.

As he was becoming a teenager he began considering the words his parents had been told along with the whispers of concerned advisers.  He began noticing how weighted his mother acted whenever advisers approached her with disappointment and concern for him.  Wanting to prove them wrong, he began training on his own for a position of knight or assassin but never felt like he truly wanted to be either, simply holding a desire to stand next to his brother as an equal.  Due to his reputation of loudness and hyperactivity, he was rejected the position of assassin and because of a lack of interest, Yang eventually quit training as a knight.  He tried looking into economics and sales, studying material for beginning merchants as the position was the highest hopes anyone had for him, but still couldn't find an interest for it.  He then turned to blacksmithing, metalsmithing, silversmithing--anything--but still couldn't find a spark.  After testing, he was heartbroken that he couldn't meet the requirements to be the messenger he always pretended to be as a pup.  Finally turning to less popular positions such as textiles and journalism, he turned up empty handed.  Deciding to give up for the time being, he spent his time hanging out with the Numbered Royals, training and talking with them.  He felt useless, but never stopped hanging out with his beloved brother.  In the background, Tobio called him the 'Numberless Royal' as he felt Yang fit in the most with the Numbered Royals, but unfortunately didn't bear a number of his own, harboring a desire to see his brother become something he could be happy with.

Time passed and the whispers grew louder.  He once overheard discussion about somebody lacking a suit and assumed it had been the appointed Ace of Spades as they had just been exiled in an uproar a few months prior.  A little more time passed before Yang discovered that it was his brother Tobio they were talking about.  As suits usually didn't develop until--at worst--18, Yang was never worried about Tobio's lack of suit, in fact, he never really noticed that his brother had yet to develop one.  Due to the panic and humiliation of the appointed Ace of Spades turning out to be a Joker, the council pushed very hard to exile Tobio, the decision being nearly unanimous.  Much to his surprise, the title of Jack was passed on to him during an unceremonious public ceremony where the crowds were too focused on the Joker being lead out of the kingdom in the background.  He felt it was fitting that nobody was happy he was the Jack of Spades now as his mother's weeping was the only sound once the crowds had been silenced.  The following weeks his father disappeared and he watched his mother wither away and die.  He would eventually find out that his father had been whisked away and executed in secret.

Yang quickly turned his position infamous with his crude behavior and habits.  He spent the past few years dodging sparring practice and other things that were required of his position as he would much rather be out drinking or doing something else in general.  Many look down on his unmotivated, sometimes disloyal approach to his position, none understanding why he couldn't just appreciate he got himself a decent title as nobody had any hopes for him in the past.  Lectures never seem to get through to him and he continues to show no desire to get anything done.  Meeting his pupil Kasper, the new Ace of Spades, had been a blessing to him but the most shameful decision to advisers as Yang hardly does the 'mentoring' part of his mentoring.  Quickly adopting the nicknames 'Worst Jack Among Four' and 'Joker of Jacks', Yang still shows no sign of fixing his fuck ups.</sub>

+ Spades
His people.  Despite losing his family to the system, he still serves the kingdom as he feels it's his obligation and duty after being unable to find any other occupation that would hold him.  He's generally pretty friendly to Spades save for the advisory section in which he can get a little antsy and dismissive.

+ Hearts
As the Kingdom of Hearts is on good terms with Spades, Yang is pretty open with Hearts.  He thinks of them as a welcoming kind and almost a second home.

+ Diamonds
Being the Kingdom furthest away from Spades, Yang doesn't get much opportunity to interact with any Diamonds.  In his head, he sees Diamonds as polite, and in turn, attempts to be polite himself, however said attempts usually come off as awkwardness as being polite isn't something he's very good at to begin with.

+ Clubs
Due to poor relations, Yang feels awkward around Clubs.  He knows well that the Spade-Club rivalry is old and should be forgotten, however the discrimination against each other has swayed him to be a little wary of Clubs, however he does try his best to act himself around them.

+ Jokers
Having a sibling who was born a Joker, Yang sympathizes with Jokers and their families.  He believes that Jokers have a better use than simply being exiled, those usages being for special types of military jobs that could use a Joker as undercover and reconnaissance.  

+ Exiles
As for exiles, Yang has a hard time understanding why one would defy their kingdom to a point where they would get themselves exiled, though doesn't judge too hard when he hears a reason why.
